We do not usually post reviews, but had to take the opportunity to post about our positive experience with Genstar Masonry. We recently completed a full back and front yard demo/renovation project. Genstar went above and beyond from start to finish. They discussed our vision for the project and carried it to fruition. Their patience and responsiveness in answering questions was unmatched. Mike and Scott were a pleasure to work with and did everything they could to ensure we were happy. They helped us plan a design within our budget and began the job by the agreed upon start date. Their crew showed up on time each day as promised. All workers were respectful and beyond hard-working, willingly working through a 90 degree heat wave in order to stay on track! Christian, the lead mason, communicated with the homeowner throughout the job and was able to solve unexpected circumstances that came up. Each day, the owners were on site, making sure the job was progressing as planned. Genstar coordinated with their electrician, Adam, who produced reasonably priced, quality work as well. Genstar had the full job finished within one week and it looks amazing! Upon completion, the crew cleaned up and even power washed the street! The company owners completed a final walkthrough with the homeowner at the conclusion to ensure everything was to satisfaction. Last week, I started redoing the front&back patios& driveway and it was completed perfectly in just 4 days. Including owner Scott, about 8 team members came, and they were very professional. They managed the workload well, and the project finished faster than expected. They also kept the schedule and communicated well throughout. It’s no wonder they have such a good reputation. You never know what you're getting when it comes to hiring someone to do work around your house, but with Genstar you don't have to worry! We were nervous at first, but Scott and Mike walked us through the process, answered all our questions, gave us ideas/recommendations, and listened to our concerns. Their showroom is awesome and everything is paved with the different pavers so you can see what it would look like. The guys that came to do the work were hardworking and did everything so well. Christian showed me around when they were close to finishing and because I am very detailed oriented and a perfectionist, I pointed out little things and he would fix it for me with no problem. After they were done, they cleaned up EVERYTHING! They didn't want to leave a trace of dirt behind. They even power washed my front walkway that I have been dying to power wash (I didn't even ask them to) and the backyard is where I got the work done! Everything looks amazing. Genstar Masonry recently did extensive masonry work on our home, transforming it from an ordinary looking backyard to an exquisite outdoor oasis! This included the demolition of old concrete around an inground pool, installation of new pavers, removing an old brick accent boarder around the front landscaping and replacing it with new pavers, installation of pet-friendly artificial turf, as well as a few miscellaneous items including repairs to the brick chimney and installing outdoor piping for a future sprinkler system. The crew was meticulous and was detail-oriented making sure to answer all questions and honoring our requests so that we would be extremely satisfied with their work. The owners were onsite daily to ensure that we were kept updated on the project. They also paid attention to our requests and/or questions so that we would be totally satisfied with the work they did. Since the job lasted many days, at the end of each day, the crew made sure to clean up before leaving. I cant express how happy my family and I are with the job that Mike and Scott and the Genstar Team did with our yard. Genstar had revamped the front of our house a couple of years ago and we loved it so much (and get so many compliments from passers by) that there was no question who we would call to help us with our yard. Genstar recently completed a backyard makeover for us. We were initially back and forth whether we should have the work done. Mike, Tommy and Scott came the first time to meet with me and immediately knew what needed to be done and knew what I wanted before I did. They came back a second time to meet with my husband and I together. My husband needed a little convincing, but they took care of that for me! We agreed on a start date and were told 2-3 weeks, which also included replumbing and relining the pool. Started even a little earlier than planned and demo, pool and brick installation was finished in 2 weeks.The crew showed up on time everyday and were the hardest working and happiest crew we’ve ever had. Mike, Scott and Tommy were available at any time of day or night no matter how ridiculous my questions/concerns may have been. We cannot say enough positive things about everyone at Genstar.

I must say, working with Genstar was Absolutely perfect. We wanted our backyard to be more usable for our kids and for entertaining. We are not Artisitic people. We had no vision. Unfortunately we had a tremendous slope, and half the yard was not usable. Mike and Scott came over and had a vision we had not seen. Genstar took the time to explain the Comprehensive approach to their plan and it was greatly Appreciated. They walked us through each piece of material to be used and reviewed every level of options from stone to decking, lighting, and landscaping. They then laid out their Vision. Genstar leveled the whole yard and created an open area for Athletic play. They created a Seating area around a Fire Table which they designed, a Newly Designed Deck, Custom Fencing, enough Lighting to make the Nights look like Daytime. Landscaping completed their Vision. Their Crew of Guys were early every day. Clean is an understatement. The equipment they have is top of the line, with serious Earth Moving power. Mike and Scott were constantly onsite, double checking every measurement every day. They kept us updated as to the expectations of the next day, and then followed up confirming completion. We are 1000pct Satisfied and Appreciative. I’ve already referred Genstar to multiple others. I look forward to referring them again.

Genstar recently waterproofed the front porch walls and foundation, as well as the interior garage and boiler room of my mother’s home. They did an unbelievably efficient, thorough and professional job that resulted in all areas looking virtually brand new. Scott M. was on site and available at a moment’s notice and tended to every concern and detail that came up - both expected and unexpected. He and his crew, particularly his crew manager, Alex, were patient, thoughtful and kind to my mother and answered and addressed every question she and I had. On top of that, they did an amazing job on the waterproofing, demo and reinstall of the porch, garage and foundation areas at the cost they promised. We recommend Genstar without reservation, based on cost, performance, and even more so on their customer service and attention to detail.

Mike & Scott at Genstar are the best to work with. They just completed a second large job at my house which was done in 2 days. Their workers are skilled and work efficiently. My pavers, porch, stones on house, stepping stones and gravel all look sharp. They have added some extra details that weren’t included to both of my jobs just to make everything look even better.
